Theme: Encountering the Wounded Healer in the Gospel of John

Purpose: The Gospel of John offers a vision of Christ as the divine Son of God who appears before his disciples and says to them in their moment of uncertainty: “Touch my side!” The embodied Jesus restores the wounded by his own wounds. This year’s preaching conference focuses on preparing preachers to proclaim Christ from the Gospel of John to the hurting and the doubting.
