The Unfiltered Soul: Reconciling Job’s Accusations -  This workshop will focus on preaching from the most difficult words that Job says to God and to his companions. We will zero in on Job's accusation that God causes injustice in ch. 9 as well as Job's parody of his companions ch. 27, while reconciling Job's words in the poetic sections of the book with how Job is presented in the prologue. This session will conclude with reflection upon what Job teaches modern readers about how to relate to God in times of suffering, when unfiltered honesty does not sound orthodox.
